Mark Brooks, the guitarist for Cosine Special Edition was formerly a guest artist on the recording of "Backlash" for the single "Soft and Easy". The recording was used as a signature song for the radio station WHUR's "Quiet Storm" also he performed with Golden Touch, backing Eddie Kendricks of the "Temptations." Check him out on "Cloudy" our feature song from our first CD soon to be re-released. He has also incorporated his ability to play keyboards on songs such as "Imelle" which is also on the first CD.
Edward Brooks, the drummer, and originally a percussionist, recorded with "Backlash" for "Soft and Easy" on percussions with them and other local and national acts. You will hear this in his style of playing on the first Cosine Special Edition CD. Take a listen to the song "Mysterious Knights."
Ernie Reese, was the original bass player for Backlash on "Soft and Easy" and one of the original members of Cosine. He is a talented and energetic bassist, and quick to make it funky.
Eva Njoku - Lead vocals for Cosine. As a native Washingtonian born in Georgetown, DC, Eva still claims her African roots of Nigerian parents. Full of energy as a child, Eva had the bug to sing since her early memories of a child at five. She began writing lyrics and poetry as a pre-teen and has performed (and won) several local competitions in the metropolitan area. She even made it to the Apollo Theatre singing songs from a few of her favorite artists: Anita Baker and Phyllis Hyman. Today, with a post-graduate degree; a child in college; and a dog that no longer spots her carpet at home, Eva decided to join the Cosine family with hopes to live out her dream to sing and hasn't looked back.
